Topiary Color Board

One aspect I adore about traveling is the visual inspiration! And I am a very visual person. I love color & texture which is why this design really grabbed me. The fact that it features topiary styling added to the pleasure. Since I do a lot of packaging design for my company, I am always watching the trends. I love this color combination of the mossy green, coral pink and tangerine! ( It feels like a great blend of green tea, rose petals and citrus peels)  I'm sure we will be seeing it in fabrics this season too. The minimalist approach seems balanced by the abundance of all of the floral petals and although there are only two branches, your eye is satisfied by the quantity of the spheres. It's like getting a dozen roses, isn't it?  What's your first impression of this topiary design?

A sweet find at the races

We sipped on a wonderful drink all afternoon while we watched the races! Blueberry Lemonade, yum! Now it was a bit too sweet for me, so I asked to have it mixed with the iced tea she had in the next jar. Even better!
So of course, that got me to got it, a new tea recipe!  Our Blueberry Buckle tea is a green and black tea blend, so it has tons of green tea sweetness but still has that black tea flavor I need, and lots of tiny blueberries. Steep 3 cups of it and add to frozen lemonade, I like Minute Maid the best but Wegman's comes in a close second. Add ice and wa-la! I think this will be a staple for the summer at the poolside!
And don't you just love the cute stands they made for the drink jars! An upside down crate with a blackboard glued to the front-so easy peasy and cute.

A Day at the Races

As we get to know our new town and all it has to offer I plan to share it with you! Today we had the opportunity to experience a day at the races. I was excited because it meant a new hat! And I imagined all kinds of people would be there, a great day for people watching.
Well, I've never been to the Kentucky Derby, but this was what I think it would be like! Horses, Lots of people in amazing hats, good food, fun and did I mention the horses?  In fact, the first race was so intense! Ten horses and jockeys at the start and only 2 finished the race. I've never seen a horse fall before, it was scary-and then to watch the jockey try and roll out of the way of the other horses coming at him full speed, well I needed another blueberry tea! A lady could swoon over such goings on.
There was just so much to see at the Radnor Steeplechase that you're going to have to put up with several posts!
